Boko Haram: Friend weeps as young Major is killed in ambush
The very bitter story of one young and brilliant army Major Erasmus whose life was cut short in a Boko Haram attack, has been told by friends who in shock cannot bear the news of their buddy’s demise.

A horrified Orowale Suleiman Kolapo, has poured his heart out regarding the death of the young Major Erasmus which filtered in on Friday, October 7.
Below is his short speech regarding the irreparable loss not only for the bereaved family of the slain soldier, but a huge loss for the nation in its entirety.
“This man in this picture, I fought alongside him, for like two weeks, we were in the same boat everyday combing all riverine areas in Akwaibom and Rivers state in February.
I remember him making a comment after the long trek “this one pass infantry o”, eating the same food with the rest of the soldiers, I Kola personally served him that day.
He will always ask me every morning as he steps into the boat “boy how are you”..
I remember me explaining how my big gun works to him, he was a man who was ready to add knowledge…
Shortly before then, he was our chief instructor and over saw the Armed forces remembrance day parade rehearsals 2016 at 6 battalion Wellington Silva Barracks Ibagwa…
He was a man who loves perfection, for that 10 days rehearsals, he made sure we were up to shape, both the Army, Navy and Airforce personnel on parade.
So I just got the bad news this morning, he was posted to Maiduguri and died last month in a ambush by boko haram….
